Do you mean initially or right now, Marcus? Initially it was actually $599, then they dropped the price by $200 and it was a catastrophe with all the early adopters & fan boys getting upset.
Yeah, there were all kinds of reports of people saying they'd never buy a first-run product from Apple again, how could they treat their superfans like that, people feeling punished, etc. etc. It was nasty.
